[GISTS] : MUST READ: JOHN MFON JOHN SHARES A STORY OF GOING AN EXTRA MILE

I thought of sharing this here cause it would urge us to go an extra mile 

#Going An Extra Mile# 

John and Andy consolidated an organization 2 years after their graduation from college. 

Following an a few long periods of work, their General Manager advanced John again and again till he rapidly rose to a place of Senior Sales Manager, however Andy stayed in his entrance level Junior Sales Officer position. 

Andy built up a feeling of desire and disgruntlement, yet kept working at any rate.

One day Andy felt that he couldn't work with John any longer. He composed his abdication letter, yet before he submitted it to the Management, he grumbled that Management did not esteem dedicated staff, but rather advanced just the favored! 

The GM realized that Andy worked hard for the years he had spent at the organization; perhaps harder than John and conceivably merited an advancement. So with a specific end goal to find out this and presumably enable Andy to get advanced, the GM gave him an errand. 

"Go and see whether anybody is offering water melons around the local area"

Andy returned and stated, "yes there is somebody!" 

The GM asked, "how much per kg?" Andy drove back to town to request that and after that returned educate the Manager; "they are N100.00 per kg!" 

The GM told Andy, "I will give John a similar errand that I gave you. Kindly give careful consideration to his reaction!" 

So the GM said to John, within the sight of Andy; "Go and see whether anybody is offering water melons around the local area?" 

John went to discover and on his arrival he stated:

"GM, there is just a single individual offering water melons in the entire town. 

The cost is N500.00 each water melon and N300,00 for a half melon. He offers them at N100.00 per kg when cut. He has in his stock 93 melons, every one weighing around 7kg. 

He has a ranch and can supply us with melons for the following 4 months at a rate of 102 melons for each day at N350.00 per melon; this incorporates conveyance. 

The melons seem new and red with great quality, and they taste superior to anything the ones we sold a year ago. 

He has his own particular cutting machine and will cut for us for nothing out of pocket. 

We have to hit an arrangement with him before 10am tomorrow and we will make sure of beating a year ago's benefits in melons by finished N2,300,000.00. 

This will contribute decidedly to our general execution as it will add at least 8.78% to our present in general deals target. 

I have expressly stated this data down and is accessible on spreadsheet. If it's not too much trouble let me know whether you require it as I can send it to you in fifteen minutes." 

Andy was exceptionally awed and understood the distinction amongst himself and John. He chose not to leave but rather to gain from John. 

As we go ahead with the rest of the piece of the year, let this story enable us to remember the significance of going an Extra Mile in the entirety of our undertakings.
