[NEWS] : FINAL YEAR STUDENT SENTENCED TO FOUR MONTH IMPRISONMENT - IN OGUN STATE

Ridwan Soyombo, a last year understudy of Computer Science, has been imprisoned for four months in the wake of being discovered blameworthy of misrepresentation and sending obscene things to his exploited people. 

Soyombo was captured by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibadan Zonal Office, and charged on one tally of extortion.

Dunford, thereby committing an offence contrary to Section 24 (1)(a) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc) Act, 2015, and punishable under Section 24(1) of same Act.”

 The indictment counsel, Mabas Mabur, asked the court to convict Soyombo appropriately since he had confessed to submitting the offense and had conceded.

While conveying his judgment, the judge said the four months' correctional facility term produced results from February 13, 2019 when he was captured.

The court likewise requested that, through the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Soyombo would relinquish and restore a total of $700 to Dunford and Cara Melton, his unfortunate casualties.

The culprit additionally relinquished his Apple MacBook Air PC, one iPhone X cell phone and one Wi-Fi switch to the Nigerian government.
